A lot of people are worried that it will hurt to get shot. Well they are right, but don't panic. I would describe it as comparable to a bee sting or bug bite. You feel a little sting if it hits the right area. It goes away really fast though. If proper safety is used like the B-team insists upon. It is not likely you will even feel an elimination like I am describing. The mask protects the head so you don't feel any painful head shots unless they are directly on top or directly behind. There is things to avoid this as well. Full head masks, as well as a hat or something to cover the bare skin. The arms, thighs, and mid section (love handles). Well these are where you are most likely to feel a sting. Fingers can hurt to so gloves while not required are highly recommended. Even if your scared to death of any pain you should be able to handle paintball. The chance of a little pain is necessary in making the game more fun. It helps to trigger your adrenaline to kick in, and keep people from running about just repeatedly shooting each other. I have often seen the face of new players who had been afraid to get shot have a big smile on their face after they first do get shot. One because it was nothing like they had built up in their mind. Two because they now know what its like for someone they shoot out. A little bit of pain is the risk we all take for the chance of dishing it out as well.
So suck it up, you'll be glad you did!

I have seen questions on yahoo answers about girls and paintball and if it hurts your girlfriend/wife if she is shot in the chest. It really is not that bad, trust me i have been shot at close range in the most sensitive part of that area and really it was not that bad. It sting for a few minutes but after that its fine. I have seen guys ask on answers if there is special padding a girl can wear so they don't hurt that part of there body... There is not really stock gear for girls, I do suggest getting a bra that is lightly padded all over to protect the nipples. I also suggest an under shirt like a tank top or babydoll tee in addition to the normal gear the guys wear...
However, girls can play and have just as much fun as guys out there, we are not fragile and will not break. We women are designed to endure childbirth and can deal with cramps once a month we can surely take on some little paintball with a smile.
